Hi, I’m Fabian. I study Mobile Computing at the University of Applied Sciences in Upper Austria. Technology and especially Software Development is not just my job, it’s my passion!
In the course of time I will write blog posts about
- Voice Assistants,
- Bots,
- SEO,
- iOS Development,
- Shop Frameworks (in detail: Prestashop & Magento),
- and as soon as I have enough experience Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning.
By the way this site is created by using the static site generator jekyll. To be honest the main reason for creating this site is that I wanted to try out jekyll.
Why should I use a static site generator instead of a CMS?
Good question! I wouldn’t say that it suits every use case however if you want to have a
- fast
- secure,
- and cheap
website you really should consider using a static site generator.
You can upload your website on any webserver because it’s only html, css and javascript.
eehm I don’t need PHP?
No you don’t! This means your site is served extremely fast because no server-side calculations take place.
but what about security?
As I said before, no PHP! So you don’t need to care about any new PHP vulnerabilities. As long as your webserver is configured careful attackers will have a really hard time.
Don’t want to host your page by yourself? No problem! Since your static generated site contains only html, css and javascript you can easily upload it to Github Pages.
